The article is for my good friend — Grace! Thank you for making the U.S. my home.
Smile Face
“Hey Vivien, I am Grace! Welcome on board!”
I saw a smiling face, which has been cheerful all the time. You can not tell whether she is sad. To me, I call it professionalism. It’s hard to be happy, not to mention under stress.
“Your smile made my day!” I smiled back.
Naturally, we had a lunch and even a walk afterwards. She was happy to meet some one with whom she can chat. I, at that moment, was even happier as a freshman to the environment. I felt warm to be welcomed as a friend.
On the same day, I told Sunny excitedly, “I made a new friend today!”
Do you like BBQ?
Sunny and I love friends, but it is just difficult to meet with some one at work, and in a strange country. So you can tell how excited we were when got the invitation to BBQ at their club house. Sunny and I jumped our way into supermarket and bought two bottles of wine. Yes, we are just loving friends! It has been a question for a long time though: why did we run in the kitchen?
Cherry Picking
May was coming, and we were thinking of picking cherries. Surprise to me, Grace, the girl who have lived in U.S. for over 12 year, has never picked cherries. I laughed for no reason, or maybe a good chance to invite her out? Headed out at 8:00 am and spent 3 hours for cherry picking. Ironically, there were no cherries left except for few on the very top of the trees, and we were just busy taking photos and moving ladders around.
BBQ again, but at Grace’s Apartment“>
BBQ again, but at Grace’s Apartment
We call ourselves twins, because we think alike. We encourage each other and understand mutually.
She is a perfectionist, not hard to tell from the presentation details of the table, food and desert. Oh, yes! She bought the chocolate fundue before the dinner. All she wants is prefect! I truly appreciate, so I was busy shooting photos, deleting, and shooting again. Don’t you think only perfect shots can prove her prefect dinner? Don’t ask why, because we are twins!
Wish you the best, Grace! You will make a huge difference!“>

Grace is always the name for nice girls! Congratulations on your friendship!
