Dec 12, 2009, Rainy winter in Mountain View. Sunny and I picked up Tammy to head to Mark and Karla’s home for the traditional Mexican and Irish Dinner.

Firstly, let me honorably introduce our great host Mark (left) and hostess Karla (right), who are long time good friends of Tammy, our friendship bridge.

It was such a great culture experience that Sunny and I are really appreciated to be invited.

Come on, enjoy with me the fantastic dinner!

COZY HOME WITH FESTIVE ATMOSPHERE

At the very moment Karla opened the door, the wetness and cold were blown away. Warmth went far beyond from temperature, and it flied from Karla’s beautiful smile and the flashing colorful lights.

Though 2 weeks to go, you would feel Christmas was right there when you saw the beautifully decorated Christmas tree.

The display of table is presentation of dinner culture and taste of host/hostess. I really love the color, cute candle container, and the napkin clip. Everything is just so girly and holiday-warm.

ALL ABOUT ALCOHOL

Mark is a professional mixer and knowledgeable expert in alcohol. We are served with fresh-made Margaritas during Mingling time. I admit that is the best Margaritas I ever had. The most important thing is I did not fall drunk on Martini as I used to be.

Of course, wine would never be missed!

Look like a cup of coffee? Can you imagine it’s with Whiskey in it? It’s the special Irish Coffee served with Whiskey in hot coffee, topped with cold cream. Each drink tasted like coffee, then whiskey, and then cold cream. It’s a magic feeling of two kinds of hot combined with cold. You will just so enjoy the mix of bitterness, alcohol spiciness and cream sweetness. It’s said Mark seldom made Irish coffee, unless there is a big occasion. We were just so lucky!

Last but not least, Mark offered whiskey testing for Sunny and me. Whiskey impacts you differently upon how you drink them. My favorite is the first one from left.
